Every brand has a story and a reputation. We start each new client relationship with a strategy seminar that allows us to isolate and distill the meat & potatoes that differentiate their brand from the competition. What’s a mother sponge?
Mother sponge is another name for a sourdough starter – the stuff artisan bakeries use to get their dough to rise naturally with wild yeast. After many home baking adventures and pilgrimages to Cheeseboard Pizza, we became enamored with the process of natural leavened dough and its history. To honor our favorite food tradition and reference the storytelling nature of design, we named ourselves Mother Sponge.
